Green Day Rally

A rally was organized and held by the Eco club on September 12 on the occasion of green day. Eco club member and some of the students and teachers of  Jalaluddin School participated in this event. This was the first event we organized outside school and it was a successful event.












Green Day 2013

On September 11 we marked the Green Day of this year. Green Day is a day on which we do not use engine vehicles while going to school. We either walk or ride a bicycle. This year we got more support than the last year.

The school electricity was also cut for 20 minutes ( from 07:00 am to 07:20 am) to celebrate green day. The purpose of this was to cut some extra gases and pollution emitting from the electric devices in the school.

Making the Environment Green!!!!

On September 6, 2013 at 07:00 am we conducted a planting program at the beach near the harbor. Eco club members took trees, mostly small coconut palms to plant there. This program was a success as we could plant a lot of trees there.

Eco Club Back in Action

After a long time, Eco club has restarted its activities on September 01, 2013 at 08:45 pm by a meeting held in the AV room. The main purpose of this meeting was to discuss about the Green Day. In this meeting we discussed about the things that we can do on green day.

Kahthiri project hand over to the grade 9 students

A training session was held to explain how the Kahthiri project was going and how to take care of the plants.





               Total of 23 members were divided into 3 groups. According to the schedule each group goes once in three days.

Presentation for grade 8

03.04.2013 on Wednesday night presentation was given for the new batch of grade 8 students.
In this presentation they were given information about the Eco-club and there activity from the first day and till the present day by the Eco-club members. Those who is interested to join the club, the forms were distributed. New students are going to come....



Neykurandhoo Trip

On March 30, 2013, we went on a field trip to H.Dh. Neykurandhoo with 32 members and 3 teachers.


Objective of this trip was to study about the mangrove of Neykurandhoo and environmental issues.









  During this trip we gave a presentation about eco club and mangrove of Kulhudhuffushi.



During this trip we got a lot of help from E.S club of Neykurandhoo School. They showed a documentary about the mangrove of Neykurandhoo.
