Re-use of Teacher's Day materials

A lot of papers were used during the teachers day for decorative purposes.

When the event was over eco club members collected these papers to recycle them. As environmental stewards we decided to re-use them for an environmental cause. Therefore our creative team used them for making more environmental awareness posters

These will be pasted through out the school when all posters are finished

Eco club meeting - 23 september 2012

Meeting for all eco-club members was held at 8:30pm in the school AV room. 

Major Discussions

-      -   Discussions were held about deciding the seed collection points for the planting that  will be carried out in the future as a part of the campaign for conserving native species.

-     -  Discussions were also held about waste collection points

-       

-        - Discussions were also held about recreating the rose garden in the school by encouraging students to bring rose plants for planting. 

-     - Discussions were also held about marking the Green Day

     

     Major accomplishments of the week

 

-         Volunteer recruiting team has started preparing for their presentation for recruiting students

  

-         The Creative team has begun making posters for saving water and other environmental issues. They surfed the internet for ideas during the meeting and chose to go into action on the next day.

-         

     The Admin team has requested the school management for a copy of the electricity and water bills of the school which are currently available. 

     

     The research team has begun research on composting which will be done as a future activity for waste management

     Media team faced difficulties due to issues with an incorrect username and password being send to them for the blog
