Inauguration of Hydroponic System

The hydroponic system was inaugurated on 24/01/2013 at 4.15 pm . The ceremony was initiated by the recitation of holy Quran by Abdul Rasheed Ibrahim, a member of ecoclub.

Followed by was an introduction of project kahthiri by Mujahid sir.

 After that the hydroponic system was launched  by Mr. Ibrahim Rameez, the President of local council by planting a seed.

Additionally other official guests also planted seeds. 

Deputy principal of Jalaluddin School also gave a speech to the members of the ecoclub.

Vote of thanks was given by Mohamed Shaafiu Moosa, a member of ecoclub. 

Project Kahthiri - Session Two

 Installation Session 

On 24/01/2013 at 9 am we started the installation of the hydroponic system.

Updates of Project Kahthiri

Session One

 The session was convened on 23/01/2013 at 20.30 in the AV room. First of all in this session we discussed about the timings of the training sessions which will be held on 24/01/2013 to 26/01/2013.

 Then we were given a brief presentation about the hydroponic system by Aboobakuru Mohamed who is an expert in this field.

Re-opening of Eco Club 2013

Meeting One 

The meeting was held in the AV room at 20.30 on 22/01/2013. The members discussed about the activities that we will be organizing this year with fixed dates after referring to the academic calender of the school.

 

Newly enrolled volunteers were given information about the teams (Admin team, Research team, Volunteer  recruiting team, Creative team and Media team ) of the eco club and they were given chance to decide which team they want to join.

Hydroponic System has Landed

The Kahthiri project which is to be started in the coming January has landed its first step by supplying the Hydroponic system to Jalaluddin School on 30th December 2012. 

This project is scheduled on 24th to 26th January 2013. All the environmental stewards look forward for this project!!! 

Rose Garden Project strikes to success

The project which has been started at the middle of this academic year 2012 striked to success at the end of this academic year.

This project was started on 12th October 2012 by collecting rose plants from the island.

Then they piled them up and chose ones which were healthier for future growth, and planted them. This was a project done under green day celebration of Jalaluddin School.

With great gratitude the eco-club members thank the staffs of Jalaluddin school for their co-operation in the maintanence of rose garden.

The eco-club members also would like to thank the teachers and leaders of this environmental program for showing all of us the right path through a greener tomorrow.

Last session of Environmental Stewardship Programme - 23rd November 2012

The meeting was conducted for all the members by MYCN team at 4pm to discuss about the achievements and the challenges faced throughout the journey of eco club for the past three months.

And also in this meeting we discussed about the way through which we can lead eco club in the following year. 

In this meeting the MYCN team has given a presentation to remind the members about their journey up to now. Further more we were given detailed information about Kahthiri project.
